Water Heater Services in Cerritos, CA
Licensed water heaters pros serving Cerritos and the surrounding Gateway Cities area — 24/7, with same-day appointments.
Cerritos homeowners have called Power Pro first for 20+ years — for everything from middle-of-the-night emergencies to planned upgrades. Your service is dispatched from our Cerritos office, so a licensed, background-checked technician is genuinely nearby, not "in your area" in name only.
The Gateway Cities are classic 1950s tract-home territory along the 605, 91, and 710, where slab-on-grade foundations make slab leaks a signature local problem. Original galvanized supply pipe and cast-iron drains from that era are now 60-plus years old. Imported water in much of the area is hard, so water heaters scale up quickly without regular flushing.
Every visit starts the same way: we diagnose, explain your options in plain language, and put exact pricing in writing before any work begins. We back it with a price match guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee — and 1,400+ Google reviews across Los Angeles & Orange County keep us honest.
Cerritos facts that shape water heater work
Water hardness
The City of Cerritos (three city wells) reported average hardness of 180 mg/L (about 10.5 grains per gallon) in 2024 water quality testing, with samples ranging 170–200 mg/L — hard on the USGS scale. Hardness minerals settle as sediment in the bottom of a tank water heater, so at 10.5 grains per gallon regular flushing does more to protect a Cerritos tank than it would on soft water.

Gas utility & rebates
Cerritos natural gas service is SoCalGas. SoCalGas pays $300–$575 on a qualifying high-efficiency gas tank water heater.

Electric utility & rebates
Electric service in Cerritos comes from Southern California Edison (SCE), the utility a heat pump water heater would run on if you switch from a gas tank. The city's own Cerritos Electric Utility serves businesses, not homes.

Permits
Even a like-for-like water heater swap at a Cerritos address needs a permit from Los Angeles County Building & Safety, which the City of Cerritos contracts for its building and safety services, and California requires the new heater to be seismically strapped. We pull the Cerritos permit and meet the inspector.
